Adrian Mole [Adrian Mole]
the main character in a series of books by the English writer Sue Townsend. He is a ↑teenage boy in the first books and they are in the form of his ↑diary, in which he describes his life, thoughts and problems. The books are The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole – Aged 13¾ (1982), The Growing Pains of Adrian Mole (1984), The Wilderness Years (1993), The Cappuccino Years (1999) and Adrian Mole and the Weapons of Mass Destruction (2004). The first book was also made into a stage ↑musical. I have decided to keep a full journal, in the hope that my life will perhaps seem more interesting when it is written down. Adrian Mole
